Importance:
It is a major weed of"4-category "in summer crops. It acts as alternate host for several insects, diseases and nematodes. It is found all over Punjab, but more frequently in canal-irrigated areas.

Application of Pendimethalin , S-metolachlor in cotton, vegetables, different formulations of atrazine in maize and sugarcane and Paraquat & glyphosate in gardens.
